Four benefits of working with a coach

Working With My Coach - Monday Motivation - PropelHer

As a success coach I often get asked “Why do I need a coach?” or “How can a coach help me?”. Whilst athletes and executives have been using coaches for generations, there are lots of people who are new to the idea of coaching. If you aren’t sure how a coach can improve your life and/or business then carry on reading, as I will be discussing four benefits of working with a coach.

1 – Structure

Firstly, coaches provide structure. A coach will be able to give you a structure to follow. There is so much information out there in books and on the internet and people will often say they can find all of the information they want online for free. However, do you believe the sources? Are you overwhelmed? Do you know where to start? A coach will be giving you tried-and-tested ways to achieve your goals, in the right order and in a system where they all work together and support one another.

2 – Support

Another benefit of hiring a coach is support. We all know that success is not achieved alone and everyone needs support at certain times. Offering support is a key part of a coaches services. As a success coach I have totally got the backs of all the women I work with. It is my job to pick my clients up during the tough times and celebrate their wins.

3 – Accountability

Accountability is another benefit you would receive when working with a coach. It is proven that accountability will help you to achieve your goals. My 1:1 clients receive a weekly call and trust me knowing that someone is going to be checking in on you is motivating. It pushes you to take the actions you said you wanted to take in the session before. It is much easier to let yourself off when no-one is watching, rather than having to admit to your coach that you didn’t so something.

4 – Thinking Bigger

Finally, a big advantage of working with a coach is that they will be able to help you think bigger. We all know we are the average of the people around us and a coach is a great way to quickly up-level your circle. I have worked with coaches to develop PropelHer and they all helped me to aim higher with PropelHer than I would have otherwise. And this was possible because they were already ahead of me and in bigger circles with bigger thinking.

Structure, support, accountability and thinking bigger are just some of the generic benefits of working with a coach. However, coaches differ drastically so it is important you talk to a coach to find the right one for you.
